Fayetteville attorney J. Scott Flowers is a co-managing partner of the Firm and the supervising partner for the Firm’s Litigation Department. Mr. Flowers practices in many areas of litigation and dispute resolution, including business and commercial law, insurance law, real estate, contracts, construction, land use and development, property management, owner associations, and administrative law. An AV-Rated Attorney since he was 33 years old, Mr. Flowers’ clients include large and small business owners, cities and counties, general contractors, property management companies, property owner associations, and real estate agencies, to name a few. Scott has litigated cases in more than 90 of North Carolina’s counties and all three federal districts, as well as before state and federal courts throughout North Carolina, as well as government agencies. Mr. Flowers was selected as the top litigation attorney in North Carolina by Business NC Magazine in 2025, and as one of the top 100 lawyers in the state by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2026.
Scott’s first job with a law firm was when he was just 20 years old, and he’s never looked back. He was born in Fayetteville and raised in rural Duplin County. Scott’s wife, Robin, is a school teacher. They have three daughters and are active members of Snyder MBC.
Scott sees his upbringing here in North Carolina as a valuable asset for his clients. He is just as comfortable talking to a truck driver as he is with a heart surgeon. His philosophy for working with clients always starts with listening. “If a client is talking to an attorney, it’s probably a stressful time for them. They need to know that you are listening and that you are on their side,” he says.
Scott joined the Firm in 2004.
