Estate Administration

Hutchens Law Firm provides comprehensive support to personal representatives, executors, and administrators throughout the probate process. We guide clients through every stage, starting with the application to qualify as a personal representative, executor, or administrator. Our experienced team assists in managing creditor claims, including issuing notices and negotiating settlements, to ensure the estates obligations are appropriately addressed.

We prepare required documents, such as inventories and accountings, and represent clients in estate-related proceedings. This includes petitions for renunciation, petitions to sell real estate, and other aspects of estate administration where legal expertise is needed to navigate complex requirements and court protocols.

Additionally, our firm is proud to have Davis Puryear, a partner at Hutchens Law Firm, serve as the court-appointed Public Administrator for Cumberland County. In this capacity, Mr. Puryear acts as a neutral personal representative for estates when appointed by the court, ensuring that the administration is conducted fairly and by the law.
