Hutchens Law Firm Hires Attorneys In Fayetteville And Charlotte

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C., (October 2, 2014) — Hutchens Law Firm has hired Deanna Coleman and Michael B. Stein as associate attorneys. Coleman works from the firm’s Fayetteville office and Stein from the Charlotte office.

Coleman practices in the areas of wills, trusts, and estates, as well as business/corporate law, tax exempt organizations, and tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and the North Carolina Department of Revenue. She is licensed by the North Carolina State Bar and the United States Tax Court and is a member of the N.C. State Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association.

Ms. Coleman has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina. She also graduated summa cum laude from the North Carolina Central University School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor and she holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Stein has 19 years of experience in the practice of creditors’ rights, litigation, and debt collection. He is primarily responsible for assisting clients in pursuing and collecting outstanding debt through means of structured payment agreements, pre-litigation negotiations, filing and prosecution of lawsuits, defending against counterclaims, and assisting clients with post-judgment collections and remedies such as property repossession, foreclosure, and eviction. He also counsels clients on best practices in debt collection, including FDCPA compliance and other borrower protection acts.

Stein is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in N.C. by the N.C. State Bar. He is a member of the N.C. Bar Association, the N.C. Creditors Bar Association, and the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 
and his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law.
