Associate Biography

Lanée Borsman practices in the areas of foreclosure and litigation as an associate Hutchens Law Firm. Lanée came to law through title examination and still enjoys tackling the puzzle-like challenges of title issues.
Lanée does a significant amount of pro bono work with the full support of the firm.  Throughout the year Lanée also participates in speaking engagements and mortgage servicing seminars across the country. She does onsite client visits, conducts continuing legal education training for paralegals, and speaks at recovery related events (AA and PALS) and high schools (FBLA).  She has been named Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina State Bar's Lawyers Assistance Program.
“My experiences inform my perspective and I’m known for thinking outside the box on real estate issues – perhaps because I grew up on a shrimp boat.” – Lanée Borsman

“Tenaciousness is one of Lanee’s most endearing attributes.  I know this because of the way she handled a long standing, convoluted and irritating legal problem for me regarding some property in Lenoir County.  Lanee’s knowledge of title, attention to detail, curiosity and determination to reconstruct the events to their origin resulted in a most rewarding outcome for me.  Thank you Lanee!!!”
